Rotherham United say they're investigating the 'dangerous' and 'illegal' use of pyrotechnics by some supporters during the Millers 1 - 0 away win on New Year's Day.

The club say they're working with bosses at Sincil Bank, as well as Lincolnshire Police, following the use of a device in the stands.

In a statement, the club wrote: "Not only are pyrotechnics prohibited under the EFL’s Stadium Regulations, they pose a high level of danger to both supporters and players alike due to the temperatures at which they burn."

"If any of our supporters have any information which could help assist the club’s investigation into this matter, please send the information to [email protected].

"All information will be dealt with confidentially."
