A Rotherham man has been charged with dozens of sexual offences, said to have happened between 1980 and 2007.

66 year old Malcolm Barnes, of Newman Road, is facing 29 charges including rape, assault by penetration, sexual assault, assaulting a girl under 13 by touching and inciting a girl to engage in sexual activity.

He is also accused of two counts of indecent assault on a girl under the age of 16, two counts of gross indecency with a girl under the age of 16 and 20 counts of indecent assault on a girl under the age of 14.

He will appear before Sheffield Magistrates Court on March 7.
