Rotherham drug dealer sentenced after being caught with cocaine
20 year old Harvey Zata will spend two years at a young offender institution
A Rotherham drug dealer has been handed two years in a young offender institution, after being caught with cocaine.
It comes after police pulled over a BMW being driven by 20 year old Harvey Zata, of Plowmans Way in Wingfield.
He was found to be carrying a large quantity of the Class A drug, as well as cash.
Further searches of his home turned up cash, mobile phones and drug paraphernalia with white residue on.
Zata admitted to possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, possessing a Class A controlled drug and acquiring criminal property.
PC Frankie Brown, of South Yorkshire Police, said: "Tackling drug supply and the harm it brings to our communities is one of our priorities in Rotherham."
"Drugs ruin people’s lives and lead to exploitation, anti-social behaviour and other crime, with the evidence showing the supply of drugs also funds serious and violent crime.
“Identifying those involved and gathering intelligence enables us to disrupt the drug supply and bring those responsible before the courts.
“We are stronger with our your help, and anyone with concerns should report it to us.”
