Man left with life-threatening injuries following Rotherham crash
The driver of a motorcycle currently remains in hospital for his injuries
A man has been left with life-threatening injuries following a serious collision between a motorbike and a car in Rotherham.
Officers from South Yorkshire Police were called to an incident taking place at Oldgate Lane by the junction with Silverwood Hill Way just after 5:15pm on Wednesday (February 5th).
When responders arrived at the scene, they found that a grey Yamaha motorbike had collided with a red Mini Cooper.
The driver of the motorbike, believed to be a 47-year-old man, suffered serious injuries in the crash and was taken to hospital by emergency services shortly after officers arrived.
Medical professionals are now looking after the man, with the police describing him as having "life-changing" and "life-threatening" injuries.
The driver of the Mini Cooper remained at the scene following the crash and is currently helping police with the investigations.
Officers have now launched an appeal for information and witnesses following the incident, and are asking those who may have CCTV or dashcam footage to get in touch as soon as possible.
