Police in Rotherham have dismantled a 'maze like' cannabis farm, with drugs worth over £750,000 growing inside.
Officers carried out a raid on Thames Street on January 30 and discovered a labyrinth-like cannabis farm spanning multiple rooms.
The farm was placed across several floors connected by holes in walls allowing access.
The plants have been seized and destroyed.
Inspector John Crapper, of South Yorkshire Police, said:
“We know cannabis grows have close ties to organised crime making it crucial that we locate and dismantle these farms."
The inspector emphasized broader impacts, noting that cannabis farms can fund illegal activities and present fire risks due to bypassed electricity systems.
Inspector Crapper urged residents to report suspicions and watch for signs of illegal activity at properties in their area.
