Two more arrests made after Rotherham attempted murder

A 48 year old man remains in a critical condition in hospital

Two further have arrests have been made after a man was hit by a vehicle in Rotherham and left in a critical condition.

The incident, which is being treated as an attempted murder, happened at around 4:40pm on Saturday (May 24) on Fitzwilliam Road.

The 48 year old victim remains in hospital.

Yesterday two men, aged 25 and 27, were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and fraud. Both have since been released on bail.

A 45 year old man is also out on bail on suspicion of attempted murder, while Marcin Chroback, 22, of Bawtry Road has been charged and remanded into custody.

South Yorkshire Police Detective Inspector Matthew Bolger said:

"We have made several arrests in connection with this incident as our investigation continues.

"We are still interested in hearing from anyone who might have CCTV or dashcam footage from the Eastwood area at the time of the incident. We are especially looking at the movements of a grey VW Golf and a blue Skoda.
