Ramblers heading out to the Peak District this weekend are being reminded to do their bit in 'keeping fires out of the countryside'.

It's following a number of heatwaves this summer - with temperatures reaching the mid 30's this week.

There are some fires burning in South Yorkshire.

Tomo Thompson is from the Mountain Rescue Team in Edale: "Fire Brigade, Police, Rangers, Farmers are all really nervous at the moment because of the conditions.

"There are people still coming into the landscape with BBQ's and campfires every night of the week.

"We are just pleading with people to do everything you possibly can to keep fire out of the landscape.

"If you see smoke or fire call 999."
