Police issue update on Sheffield shooting
30-year-old Shanice Brookes died on Monday following the incident in the city centre
South Yorkshire Police have issued an update over a shooting in which a 30-year-old mum died.
Officers say Shanice Brookes was an innocent bystander when the fatal shooting happened in the early hours of Monday morning on West Street. Her family have paid tribute to her - calling her 'an amazing mum'.
Three people were initially arrested on suspicion of murder.
Police have given this update:
"The 30-year-old man and 32-year-old woman who were arrested on suspicion of murder near Stockport remain in our custody and officers have been given further time to question them into Thursday 28th May.
"The 30-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder here in Sheffield has now been released and is no longer being treated as a suspect".
