Drivers heading on the M1 are being told to allow for extra time this morning.

The police have closed junctions 29A and 29 Southbound and Northbound, with the Northbound entry slip road on junction 29A also being due to an ongoing incident.

In an update on social media, Derbyshire Police said: "The M1 is closed between junction 29A-29 Southbound and Northbound, with the Northbound entry slip road on junction 29A also being closed due to an ongoing police incident.

"Please allow for extra time when travelling and look for alternative routes."
