Police appeal for driver who hit 8 year old child in Doncaster to come forward

Police in Doncaster are appealing for a driver who allegedly hit an eight-year-old child to come forward.

The incident happened on Nutwell Lane in Armthorpe at 8.40am on April 23.

The child was riding his scooter to school when a dark-coloured hatchback hit him near the junction with Kingsley Crescent.

He suffered minor injuries.

The driver initially stopped, inspected his vehicle, and then left the scene without speaking with the child or bystanders.

He reportedly drove off in the direction of Old Cantley.

Investigators are also appealing for any witnesses with dashcam footage of the incident to assist with the investigation.
