Ex-South Yorkshire Police officer would have been sacked over £150 theft from Meadowhall
A misconduct hearing was held after the officer accepted a caution earlier this year
An ex-South Yorkshire Police officer has been told he would have been sacked after being caught stealing almost £150 worth of goods from shops at Meadowhall Shopping Centre.
Former PC Christopher Eaman accepted a caution over the offence which happened on May 20, but was then referred for a misconduct hearing.
He has already resigned from the force but the Professional Standards Department at South Yorkshire Police has found he would have been fired had he not.
The ex-PC will now be added to the College of Policing Barred List, preventing him from seeking employment with another force.
