Man appears in court charged in connection with death of Barnsley man
The 57 year old is charged with GBH and peverting the course of justice
A man has appeared in court charged in connection with the death of a man in Barnsley last week.
57 year old Philip Benson, of Wingfield Road in Athersley, is charged with perverting the course of justice and Section 18 - grievous bodily harm after the death of 41 year old Russell Baxter.
Russell was found seriously injured at a home on Wingfield Road last Thrusday (September 3) and was later pronounced dead at the scene.
One person ahs already been questioned on suspicion of murder in connection and has been remanded in connection with separate charges.
Benson is due before Sheffield Crown Court on October 9.
