Investigation getting underway after fatal crash on the Sheffield Parkway
An investigation is getting underway after a fatal crash on the Sheffield Parkway.
Police were called just before 7pm to reports a motorbike collided with the curb.
A man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers are now asking anyone in the area at the time to come forward.
A Police statement said:
"We are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a fatal road traffic collision in Sheffield.
"It is reported that around 6.45pm yesterday (Monday 6 July) a black Triumph motorbike was travelling on the A57 Sheffield Parkway, away from the Park Square roundabout and towards Prince of Wales Interchange, when it hit a curb and crashed. No other vehicle is thought to have been involved in the collision.
"Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the rider of the bike, a man, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
"While formal identification has not yet taken place, his family has been informed and is being supported.
"An investigation is underway and we are now appealing for the public’s help. We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw the bike being ridden before the collision or who has relevant dashcam footage.
"Anyone who thinks they can help is being urged to report online or call 101, quoting incident number 906 of 6 July 2026."
