Four arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after Grimethorpe stabbing

Four people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a woman was discovered seriously injured in Grimethorpe late last night.

The woman was found unresponsive on St Luke's Road at around midnight. She was in her 30s and had a suspected stab wound.

Officers quickly responded and arrested two men, aged 28 and 20, and two women, aged 28 and 21, All four remain in police custody.

The woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.

Closures have been in place in the St Luke's Road area today.

Police area appealing for witnesses or anyone with CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage taken in the area to get in touch on 101.
