Further arrests made as investigation into pedestrian death continues in Barnsley

Two more people have been arrested as police investigate the death of a man in Barnsley.

Police were called just before 5pm on Good Friday following a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a white Volkswagen Touareg in Rose Tree Avenue in Cudworth.

The pedestrian, a 45-year-old man, sadly died at the scene.

A 33-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of murder. They both remain in police custody.

Yesterday, a 60-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman were both arrested on suspicion of murder. They remain in police custody.
