Fire crews battle blaze near old Ski Village in Sheffield
A fire in fields near Musgrave Road in Sheffield, close to the old Ski Village, was started on purpose last night according to South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.
Five fire engines were called out after several people rang 999 about the blaze.
Police are now investigating.
South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said: "We received lots of 999 calls last night about a fire in fields on Musgrave Road, Sheffield- close to the site of the former Sheffield Ski Village.
"Five fire engines responded to this fire, which was started deliberately.
"The maximum sentence for arson is life in prison."
