Doncaster Sheffield Airport tell us they've got 'big hopes & dreams' for the future.

Another meeting is set to take place this week around South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority's plans to buy the land it sits on off its current owners - the Peel Group.

Christian Foster is the Director of Fly Doncaster - who're working on getting DSA back open:

"So, I've got roughly around 100 staff on site at this moment in time.

"That number is growing on a weekly basis.

"We've just recruited apprenticeship firefighters who are all local people, and that recruitment continues at pace.

"We're making sure that we've got the right offer for the people and the businesses that are using this airport.

"We've got some fantastic plans; we're remodelling one of the terminals to try and increase footfall on site.

"We want to work with really exciting people and employers."

The airport shut back in 2022 - with the aim now to get commercial flights back up & running at DSA by 2028.
