Chesterfield bar owner insists 'drink spiking' must be monitored all year - not just at Christmas

Pub owners in South Yorkshire & North Derbyshire insist it's 'vital' to put measures in place to prevent drink spiking all year round - not just at Christmas.
The number of incidents can often rise over the festive season when it's busier.
Phil Deacon runs the Gasoline American Bar in Chesterfield:
"I think from a hospitality perspective, we shouldn't just be worrying about drink spiking, misogynistic behaviour, and violence just over the festive period.
"These types of things happen all year round.
"Venues should be monitoring these issues as they go.
"We have things like cap covers that you can put on your glasses if you really want them.
"We have test strips too - so if someone does think that something has happened to their drink - we can test it as well.
"Obviously we have plenty of CCTV and door staff too."
