Three drug dealers from Doncaster have been jailed for over six years total.

It comes after officers carried out a raid in the Hexthorpe area last March, acting on a tip off about drug dealing in the area.

Upon entering the property, police discovered snappy bags containing cocaine and heroin, leading to the arrest of three people later charged with possession with intent to supply.

Last week Susan Hemsworth, 54, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to the drug charges and received a two-year and three-month prison sentence at Sheffield Crown Court

Sian Wallace, 36, also of no fixed address, also pleaded guilty to drugs offences and an additional burglary charge, receiving a two-year and nine-month prison term.

Ratislav Pecha, 22, of Apley Road, Doncaster, received a two-year prison sentence suspended for two years after admitting to drug charges.

Also sentenced last week was 26 year old Isaac Greaves of South Street in Highfields, who was handed two-and-a-half years in prison for possession with intent to supply cocaine.

Greaves had been arrested in June last year in a North Yorkshire hotel room.

Detective Sergeant Mark Jones of South Yorkshire Police's Operation Fortify unit said: “The team work relentlessly to build information and intelligence on those suspected of being involved in serious and organised crime, which includes drug dealing."

“What may seem like an innocent drug deal has much wider implications and the money generated from it often funds organised crime gangs."

“These gangs engage in reckless violence that puts innocent people in danger, and their actions threaten the safety of the communities we serve to protect."

“We will not allow this to happen, and I hope these sentences send a clear message that if you choose to supply drugs in Doncaster, you will be identified, targeted and brought before the courts.”
