Police have released pictures of a man they're looking for, after the stabbing of a dog in Sheffield last month.

The incident happened at around 4pm on December 19 on Spital Hill in the city centre.

During a fight between two men, one of whom had a dog, its alleged a man pulled a knife out and stabbed the animal in its neck.

The dog was later seized by a dog handler and is being treated by a vet.

Officers are now trying to trace a man described as black, of average build, around 5ft 11 to 6ft tall with black Afro hair shaved at the sides.
