Cyclist dies after being hit by car in Rotherham
Police were called to the High Street in Maltby on Saturday
Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a cyclist was killed in a crash involving a car in Rotherham,
Officers were called to the High Street in Maltby at 6:25pm on Saturday (February 1).
The cyclist, a 50 year old man, was travelling in the direction of the High Street at the junction with Manor Road when he was struck by a pink Peugeot 208.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and his family are now being supported by specialist officers.
Anyone who saw what happened , or who has dashcam or CCTV footage taken in the area at the time, is being urged to contact South Yorkshire Police on 101.
