Two gang members from Chesterfield are facing jail after being convicted of kidnapping and assaulting a teenage boy alongside charges of drug offences.

They were part of a larger group of five men, who've all been convicted over the supply of Class A drugs.

The teenager, who was known to the group, was taken while with friends in Chesterfield town centre in March this year.

He was driven to various locations around the town and assaulted by several members of the gang. The ordeal ended later that evening when the boy was returned to his girlfriend’s address.

Police arrested five suspects in the days following the incident, carrying out searches of properties and vehicles.

Drugs including cannabis, cocaine, heroin and ketamine were seized, along with mobile phones containing evidence of drug supply activities.

The five men denied the offences but admitted charges after standing trial at Derby Crown Court.
