Barnsley FC trip to Northampton postponed due to frozen pitch
The pitch at Sixfields is unplayable.
Freezing conditions mean Barnsley supporters will be staying home on Saturday.
The Tykes, who are 5th in League One, were due to head to Northampton Town on Saturday.
However a pitch inspection at midday today has deemed Sixfields unplayable.
In a statement, the club wrote: "A new date for the rearranged fixture will be announced in due course."
"All tickets purchased for the original game will remain valid for the rescheduled fixture, and further information regarding the new date will be communicated to fans as soon as it is confirmed.
"Match tickets wishing to be refunded for this fixture can be returned to the Box Office."
