An 82 year old Barnsley man has been jailed for 22 years - for the historic sexual assault of two children.
Geoffrey Hall, of Well Hill Grove, was convicted of 14 sexual offences against two people aged between three and 14 at the time.
The first victim came forward to police in 2011, with a second victim later being located in 2022.
Hall was eventually chagred in 2024 and was found guilty at trial at Sheffield Crown Court.
He was convicted at trial at Sheffield Crown Court.
Investigation Officer David Dodds, of South Yorkshire Police, said:
"Both victims have shown tremendous strength throughout the whole investigation and lengthy court process. Their accounts are what ultimately secured the conviction against Hill, so I hope that brings them some peace.
"No amount of time Hall will spend behind bars will ever undo the disgusting acts he committed. He used his position of trust to inflict vile abuse on two very young children.
"I hope this sentence shows that it is never too late to come forward if you are a victim of sexual assault. We will listen to you and try our best to secure you the justice you deserve."
