Two arrested on suspicion of murder following fatal Newport collision
Two men were pronounced dead after his morning's crash in Alway
Police have arrested three people following a fatal road traffic collision in Newport.
An 18-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman were taken into custody on suspicion of murder, while a 24-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender following this morning's crash on Aberthaw Road in Alway..
All three remain in police custody as investigations continue.
The collision involved a BMW car and a motorbike, with the BMW reportedly leaving the scene prior to police arrival.
The male driver and pillion passenger of the motorbike were pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. Specially trained officers are supporting their families during the investigation.
Police are asking anyone with information, along with those who may have CCTV or dashcam footage, to contact them quoting log reference 2600141467.
They are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was in the area between midnight and 1.40am on Thursday 7th May.
