Swansea man raped and sexually assaulted woman he gave lift home to after a night out
Caeran Evans, from Penlan, carried out the attack against a female victim in October 2024.
Caeran Evans, from Penlan, offered the woman a lift home in October 2024. Later that night, a video was recorded and shared on messaging groups showing Evans taking drugs from the woman’s body while she appeared to be asleep.
Sexually degrading words had also been written on her body.
Evans pleaded guilty to sexual assault at Swansea Crown Court in December 2025. He was subsequently found guilty of rape by a jury following a trial on 16 September.
The court also imposed a 15-year restraining order preventing Evans from contacting the victim.
Detective Inspector Meirian Evans praised the woman for coming forward, saying it was hoped the conviction and sentence would allow her to move forward with her life.
Police said they recognised how difficult it can be for survivors of sexual abuse to report offences and promised victims would be treated with dignity and supported through the justice process
