Shards of glass found glued to slide in Ely park

South Wales Police are investigating an incident in Ely, Cardiff after they say shards of glass were found glued to a slide in Herbert Thompson Park.
A child sustained a minor cut and damage to their clothing after using the slide, according to reports received by the police at approximately 1:20pm on 31st July.
Christian Mansbridge, from Cardiff, highlighted the situation on social media: "My nephew almost ripped himself to shreds!
"Parents be careful letting your young ones go to the park!
"My nephew got a cut on his leg and his shorts are ripped!"
A notice has since been stuck on the slide to warn others.
In a statement, South Wales Police said: "South Wales Police was called at approximately 1:20pm Friday 31 July with a report that shards of glass had been glued to a slide in a park in Ely.
"It was reported that a child sustained a minor cut and damage to their clothing after using the slide.
"Enquiries into the incident are ongoing."
