Port Talbot man who sent sexual messages to teenager jailed
Jamie Davies sentenced for offences involving a 14-year-old boy
A 34-year-old man from Port Talbot has been sentenced to 28 months in prison after he pleaded guilty to several child sex offenses, including inciting a 14-year-old boy to engage in sexual activity.
Jamie Davies used Snapchat to send sexually explicit messages, offering to cook for the child in exchange for a sexual act performed in front of him, and also sent a photograph of his penis.
Davies was found guilty of causing or inciting a boy aged 13 to 15 to engage in sexual activity, as well as three counts of possessing indecent photographs of a child and engaging in sexual communication with a child.
Detective Sergeant Kristian Burt highlighted the seriousness of the case, saying:
“Jamie Davies is a predatory individual who was under no doubt as to the age of the boy he was sending sexually explicit messages to. He is absolutely deserving of going to prison.
“Let this serve as a warning that such predatory behaviour will not be tolerated, and that we must remain vigilant in protecting our children.”
