Seven charged after violent disorder in Blackwood and Newbridge

It's after reports of widespread disorder on Thursday 13th February

Police have charged seven men as part of an investigation into reports of violent disorder in Blackwood and Newbridge.

The men, aged between 24 and 30, will appear at Newport Magistrates Court on Saturday 15th February after they were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder on Thursday 13th February.

An eighth man was also arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and remains in hospital receiving treatment; his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.
