Man in life-threatening condition after attack in Abergavenny
A 27-year-old man from Gilwern has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder
A man has suffered life-threatening injuries after an incident in Abergavenny.
Police were called to Old Hereford Road at around 6.15am on Friday (15 May), with the victim, in his 20s, taken to hospital where he remains.
Officers are investigating a number of possibilities, including whether a vehicle was involved or whether the man may have been assaulted.
A 27-year-old man from Gilwern has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody.
Enquiries are ongoing in the area.
Detectives want anyone who was in the area at the time, or who saw anything suspicious, to get in touch.
They are particularly keen to hear from anyone with dashcam, CCTV or doorbell footage from Old Hereford Road and the surrounding area.
