Teenager dies after three car crash in Cwmbran

A 17 year old girl from Caldicot has died after a crash involving three cars and a pedestrian on the A4042 in Cwmbran.

Emergency services were called just after midday on Thursday, but the girl was pronounced dead at the scene.

The road between the Crown and Turnpike roundabouts was partly closed – with just one lane heading north open and diversions in place southbound.

Police are asking anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage to get in touch.
