Family of Welsh icon Bonnie Tyler announce funeral details
A celebration of life is planned in Swansea remembering the global star
Details of the funeral of Welsh music legend Bonnie Tyler have been announced.
The singer, born Gaynor Hopkins, died in Portugal last week at the age of 75.
Born in Skewen on 8th June 1951, Tyler rose to international fame with hits such as "Total Eclipse of the Heart" and "Holding Out for a Hero."
A Celebration of her life will be held at Swansea Minster (St. Mary's Church) at 12 noon on 17th August.
Her journey will include a passage through her hometown Skewen for a private family service.
Those wishing to pay respects are being invited to line Newton Road in Mumbles at 3.15pm on Saturday 15th August as she returns to her home, Fernhill.
Her family is inviting donations in memory of Gaynor to her patron charities, Noah's Ark Children's Hospital for Wales and Cerebral Palsy Cymru.
