Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision near Chichester, where a 53-year-old man died at the scene.

The collision involved a silver Ford Transit van and happened on the eastbound carriageway at about 5.30am on 11 March.

The driver of the van, a 53-year-old man from Portsmouth, was pronounced dead.

Road closures were in place from Warblington in the west to Fishbourne in the east while emergency services responded.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information in relation to the event that happened between sections over Newells Lane and Ratham Lane near Hambrook.
