The family of 31-year-old cyclist Lee Joshua Grant has shared a heartfelt tribute following his tragic death after a collision in Waterlooville.

Police responded to reports of an accident at 10.41am on Tuesday 14th July on College Road, where Lee, riding a pedal bike, was involved in a collision with a car.

Despite being rushed to hospital with serious injuries, Lee sadly passed away on Thursday 16th July.

Lee's mother expressed profound sorrow at his passing, recounting his vibrant personality and his heartfelt empathy for others:

"Lee was loved beyond words and his loss has left a hole in the hearts of everyone who knew him. Lee had a passion for BMX riding and a very cheeky smile that would brighten anyone's day, with a kind heart to match. He cared deeply for others and was always willing to help anyone, never expecting anything in return. His kindness and generosity touched the lives of so many people.

"Even in death, my boy continued to help others. As an organ donor, he has given the gift of life to others, something that makes me incredibly proud.

"I want to thank everyone who worked to help Lee at the scene that day and in the days that followed, as well as all those who supported Lee and our family during the most difficult time of our lives.

"Lee will never be forgotten. I will carry him in my heart forever and treasure every memory we shared."

Lee's family wishes to extend their gratitude to all those who offered assistance during the incident and extended support afterwards.

His legacy is celebrated not only through the lives he saved as an organ donor but also in the cherished memories he has left behind, remembered fondly by all who encountered his kindness and generosity.
