Ukrainian choir to play at Fareham Live

Fareham Live is set to host a Ukrainian choir for a musical event as part of Refugee Week.

Two Colours Ukrainian Choir, a group formed by Ukrainian women who sought refuge in Hampshire following the conflict, will perform on Wednesday 17th June 2026.

Refugee Week runs from 15th to 21st June.

Fareham Live Theatre Director, Sheena Hulme, said: "We're incredibly proud to welcome The Courage of Two Colours Ukrainian Choir to Fareham Live for what promises to be a moving and memorable evening, celebrating Ukrainian culture and resilience."

The concert's titled "The Courage of Two Colours" and will feature a programme of songs in both Ukrainian and English, blending traditional and contemporary music to celebrate Ukrainian culture.

The evening will also feature images of Ukraine - from images that represent the country's heritage to the impacts of the ongoing war.

Executive Member for Leisure and Community, Cllr Frair Burgess said: "We are proud to support this incredibly moving event at Fareham Live.

"This performance is not only a celebration of Ukrainian culture and music, but also an important opportunity to reflect on the personal stories behind it.

"I would encourage residents to come along, support the choir and be part of what promises to be an unforgettable evening.”
