Two 18-year-olds charged with murder following Netley stabbing

Police have charged two 18-year-olds on suspicion of murder after a 19-year-old was stabbed to death in Netley.

Tawana Choruma was found with stab wounds in Station Road at just before 6.30pm on Wednesday (December 18th).

He received treatment from medical teams but was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dominic Adedamole Adeyemi of Holmes Close in Netley Abbey and Jack Hibberd of no fixed address have been remanded in custody to appear before Southampton Magistrates' Court today (Monday 23rd).

Another 18-year-old man, who was arrested on suspicion of murder and possessing stolen property, has been released on police bail.

A 51-year-old man from Southampton, arrested on Sunday on suspicion of assisting an offender, has been released on conditional bail.

A 36-year-old woman from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, no further action has been taken for this offence.

The woman was also arrested for possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class B and possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

She has been released on conditional bail.
