Police release statement following Bournemouth beach disorder

Police have been dealing with disorder involving a 'large number of people' on Bournemouth beach.

Officers were at the scene last night (Tuesday 26 May 2026), in the Undercliff Drive area.

A statement from Dorset Police said: "It has been reported that officers have been assaulted and we would like to make it extremely clear that this behaviour will not be tolerated.

"We are making arrests and working to disperse those involved."
