Hampshire & Isle of Wight Police investigating separate serious collisions
They happened in Southampton and Southsea
Police are appealing for witnesses following two separate serious road collisions involving pedestrians in Southsea and Southampton.
The first incident occurred at 2.05am on 30th August in Southsea at the junction of Victoria Road North, Elm Grove, and Outram Road. It involved a pedestrian and a blue Mazda, leaving a 27-year-old man with life-threatening injuries. He remains in hospital.
The second collision took place at 10.09pm on 29th August on Portsmouth Road, Southampton. It involved a pedestrian, a 44-year-old woman, who is currently hospitalised with life-threatening injuries. A 59-year-old man from Fareham was arrested on suspicion of driving a vehicle while unfit through drugs but has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
