Police are asking for witnesses after a man was assaulted
A man in his 40s is in hospital after being stabbed in Christchurch.
Dorset Police received a report at 10.37pm on Monday (29th December) about the attack near Dennistoun Avenue.
Crime scene investigators and detectives attended the area, but the scene has now been removed.
Detective Inspector Chris Bradford, of BCP CID, said fast-paced enquiries are ongoing to identify those responsible.
“A full investigation is underway, and fast-paced enquiries are ongoing to locate those involved.
“We are interested to hear from anyone who was in the area of Dennistoun Avenue near to Domino’s Pizza in Somerford Road at around 10pm on Monday 29th December 2025 – did you see or hear anything suspicious?
“I would also like to speak to anyone who was driving in the area and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.
“There will be an increased police presence in the area, and we would encourage anyone with information or concerns to please speak with an officer.”
