Hampshire travel agents give advice on how to stay cool and safe this summer with Europe's spiking heat
The travel agents group say it's important to stay safe
Hampshire travel agents have shared their advice on how to stay cool and safe this summer as heat hits 40 degrees across Europe.
Heat across Europe has been spiking this summer, which brings with it associated risks.
As families look to go on their summer holidays, travel agencies are reminding people to stay safe.
Jordan Bailey, Sales and Marketing at New Era Travel, said: "We're advising people to stay cool, stay in the shade.
"Drink less alcohol because this can severely dehydrate people if they don't drink enough water along with it.
"Be sensible and don't do anything too strenuous and avoid the peaks in the time heat.
"We get those who love the heat and the sunshine, we all like to go on holiday with warmth and sunshine, but at the same time, you don't want to be making too many risks with the extremely hot temperatures we're seeing in parts of the world."
