Body of a man found in Southsea

The discovery was made at Eastney East Battery on Boxing Day

The body of a man's been discovered in Southsea, with a police appeal to help identify him.

Police were sent to Eastney East Battery at around 6.30pm on Boxing Day (Thursday 26th December).

The death isn't being treated as suspicious, with officers now carrying out enquiries to work out who the man is.

He's described as:

  • White
  • Age unknown
  • Has a gold tooth
  • Wearing blue Levi jeans
  • Pink woollen scarf
  • Blue zipped Regatta fleece with a Balfour Beatty South East logo
  • White and blue striped shirt with a British Rail logo
  • Black Adidas trainers
  • Carrying an inhaler
  • Older style video camera
