Appeal for witnesses after assault in Chichester

40-year-old man seriously injured outside Tesco Express store

Police in Chichester are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted outside the Tesco Express store on South Street.

The incident occurred between 1.25pm and 1.35pm on 18th April.

The 40-year-old victim was seriously injured in the attack by three men and was subsequently taken to hospital for treatment.

Appeal for Information

Detective Constable Charlotte Pude stressed the unprovoked nature of the assault and urged potential witnesses to come forward.

Pude said: “This was an unprovoked assault, and we are keen to hear from any witnesses or from anyone who has any CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage of it, which could help our investigation.”
