12 hour waits in A&E at University Hospital Southampton
They're still under a critical incident
There are currently 12 hour waits in A and E at University Hospital Southampton, as the hospital remains under a critical incident.
We're told medics are now turning people away who could be treated elsewhere.
Hospital bosses say they're caring for a significant number of people who became unwell due to the hot weather.
In a statement on their Facebook Page they say:
"We ask for your patience and kindness as our staff work incredibly hard under intense pressure. Aggression and abuse towards our staff is not acceptable and will not be tolerated.
"Thank you for your ongoing understanding and support."
