Detectives have named the woman who died after being struck by a van at a golf course in Shenstone last week.

Suzanne Cherry, aged 62 and from Aldridge, was seriously injured during the incident at Aston Wood Golf Club on Blake Street at around 10.25am on Friday, 11 April.

She was taken to hospital for treatment but sadly died on Tuesday evening (15 April).

Her family is being supported by specialist officers as they come to terms with their loss.

As the investigation continues, three men have been arrested. A 51-year-old man from Bloxwich has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

A 22-year-old man from Dudley is being questioned on suspicion of manslaughter and assisting an offender, and a 41-year-old man from Worcester has also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. All three remain in custody in Staffordshire.

Detectives are still searching for a man who was seen leaving the golf course on foot shortly after the collision. Officers are reviewing footage, speaking with witnesses, and working to establish the events leading up to the incident.

The van involved had earlier been linked to reports of suspicious activity, prompting a police response. The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) is now investigating the circumstances prior to the collision.

Police are urging anyone who may have dashcam, CCTV, or doorbell footage from the area of Blake Street or Birmingham Road, between Sutton Coldfield and Shenstone, around 10.25am on Friday, to come forward.
