Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was seriously injured in a collision in Shropshire.

It happened at around 4.50pm in Upper Affcot on Friday (3 October).

A pedestrian, a woman in her 70s, was hit by a white Hyundai car on the A49 close to the Upper Affcot junction.

West Mercia Police said the woman was air-lifted to hospital with serious injuries.

The force has urged anyone who witnessed what happened to get in touch.
