Wolverhampton Wanderers host 'Pitches and Ponytails' sessions for dads and carers to learn hair care for daughters
The club has so far ran two sessions and is planning more
Wolverhampton Wanderers said it's planning to host more sessions designed to help dads and carers learn how to style their daughter's hair after seeing great success during initial classes.
Taking inspiration from the viral Pints and Ponytail classes, which see men head to their locals to learn basic hair care tips, the club's foundation has now launched Pitches and Ponytails sessions at The Molineux.
The sessions are designed to bring men together to bond and learn basic hair care, tips and styles.
"It's been brilliant," said Jade Sutton from the foundation.
"Before I've even got home from the sessions, I'd got messages from dads saying they can't wait to get up do their their daughter's hair tomorrow.
"We've had dads who have sent photos of their work - it's been really positive."
So far, the club has run two session and is looking to host more.
Jade added: "The idea of the sessions is to just equip dads with the skills and the confidence to be able to do their children's hair, which we know also supports bonding and challenges those traditional gender roles too."
Jade said it's not about creating anything elaborate, but just giving dads and carers the confidence to know they'll be able to get through their child's morning routine.
