Two arrested after stolen car and knife found in Dudley
A man and woman have been arrested
Two people have been arrested after a stolen car and knife were found in Dudley on Saturday (1st November).
That's after reports of a stolen Audi A3 in the morning.
The vehicle was found that same afternoon.
A 44-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and possession of an offensive weapon, after a knife was found in the area.
A 50-year old woman has also been arrested.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said, "We've arrested two people after officers recovered a stolen car in Dudley.
"An Audi A3 was reported as being taken at around 9.30am (1 November).
"Our officers were on patrol when they spotted the vehicle later in the afternoon.
"The car came to a stop near Delph Road, Brierley Hill, before the occupants made off.
"A 44-year-old man was arrested shortly afterwards and a knife was also recovered from the area.
"He was detained on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and possession of an offensive weapon.
"A 50-year-old woman was also arrested nearby on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.
"They're both currently in police custody for questioning."
