Telford business honoured by King’s Awards for its enterprise
Local firms gain recognition for international trade and social mobility

The company received awards for International Trade and Promoting Opportunity through Social Mobility, highlighting its significant contribution to economic growth and opportunity.
Thermserve has experienced sustained growth across global markets, with rising demand from regions including the Middle East and North America.
Joining Thermserve in recognition is construction specialist Pave-Aways Limited, awarded for Promoting Opportunity through Social Mobility.
The company’s “Looking After Our Workforce” initiative, launched during the pandemic, supports employee wellbeing and career progression, benefiting nearly 500 people, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Celebrating its 60th anniversary, the King’s Awards for Enterprise remain the UK’s most prestigious business awards, honouring outstanding achievements in areas such as international trade, innovation, sustainable development, and social mobility.
Councillor Lee Carter, Leader of Telford & Wrekin Council, expressed pride in a local business earning recognition through the King’s Awards alongside another enterprise contributing meaningfully across the Borough.
“This is a fantastic achievement and reflects the strength and ambition of our business community,” Councillor Carter said.
Councillor Ollie Vickers, Cabinet Member for The Economy and Transport, highlighted the role of Telford-connected businesses both locally and globally.
“These awards showcase how Thermserve’s international success and Pave-Aways’ workforce commitment exemplify growth and opportunity creation,” Vickers said.
