A man from Shropshire has been sent to prison after ignoring a court order meant to protect victims of domestic violence.

23 year old Connor Wright was arrested for turning up at a banned address in Telford, triggering his suspended jail term for a string of shop thefts.

He’s now been handed a 38 week sentence, with police warning anyone breaching a Domestic Violence Protection Order will face tough action.

Wright was also handed a further two weeks custodial sentence for the DVPO breach, which will run concurrently.
