Elderly pedestrian airlifted to hospital following Shrewsbury collision

Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a serious collision in Shrewsbury.
The incident happened at around 12.30pm yesterday (22nd November) on Whitchurch Road.
A man in his eighties was struck by a black Audi TT travelling on the Shrewsbury-bound carriageway.
The pedestrian sustained serious injuries, which are described as potentially life-threatening and life-changing, and was airlifted to hospital for treatment.
PC Steve Wootton has urged anyone who may have witnessed the collision or seen the vehicle involved prior to the incident to come forward.
“We are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this collision and anyone who may have seen the car involved; a black Audi TT which was travelling on the Shrewsbury bound carriageway, prior to the collision," PC Wootton said.
“We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have dashcam footage to support our investigation.”
